In the spring of 2005, the university opened a new 10,000 square-foot clinic building on County Home Road north of Marysville. The new building enables our staff to provide more comprehensive services for our clients, including seminars and consultations. The clinic includes a surgery suite, pharmacy, reception area, conference room, laboratory, and housing for veterinary students.
Our veterinarians have a tremendous amount of clinical experience in food animal and equine medicine. As OSU faculty, they base all of their treatment decisions and protocols on the latest scientific research and best practices in the field. They also have ready access to other faculty in the College of Veterinary Medicine, OSU Extension, Department of Animal Sciences, and the Ohio Agricultural Research and Development Center, allowing them to draw on the knowledge of the many experts within The Ohio State University system.
Veterinarians have been entrusted to protect the livelihood of farmers, both by caring for their animals and by safeguarding the human food they produce. The College of Veterinary Medicine at The Ohio State University is committed to having each one of our veterinary students work within an on-farm ambulatory practice, giving them hands-on experience in large and small-scale livestock operations. As part of a fourth-year rotation, Ohio State veterinary students work under the supervision of the Marysville faculty and assist them with all aspects of animal care as part of a team. You may see our students working alongside the faculty veterinarians as they care for your animals.
