Microbiology Diagnostic Service

Our Services

The Microbiology Diagnostic Service at the Veterinary Teaching Hospital of The Ohio State offers/provides bacteriology, mycology, and serologic procedures for The Veterinary Teaching Hospital. Service is also provided to ambulatory services associated with the Teaching Hospital as well as animal resource facilities within or outside, the university.

Appointments & Lab Hours

  • Laboratory hours: 8am to 5pm Monday-Friday; 8am to noon on Saturday.
  • Laboratory should be directly contacted for information on specimen collection and submission.

  • FeLV/FIV
  • Feline Heartworm Antigen ELISA
  • Rocky Mountain Spotted Fever fluorescent antibody
